Today I wrote from a creative writing prompt not about Laos.
I like it and I would like to do it again on Wednesday
A Secret Passage in an Egyptian Pyramid

My class took a field trip to Egypt to learn about the ancient Egyptians. We traveled up the Nile River to the Pyramids at Giza. It was a hot, sunny day when the bus arrived at the entrance to the Pyramids. Our
class went into the pyramid with a tour guide who showed us through the passages and explained the history of the pyramids. I had a book on hieroglyphics and I found an interesting picture. I looked it up in my book and it said, ‘Press here.’…

I pressed the button and a secret passage opened. At that time all of my friends had been walking in front of me and were far away.  So, I couldn’t have called anyone. I decided to walk slowly toward the huge room that immediately opened. When I got there, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I saw massive valuables, ancient property and a very surprising thing ‘a sarcophagus’. Suddenly, when I walk deeply into the middle of the room I heard some noise resonate around the room. It was the sound of the door about to close. I started to run, but I couldn’t reach the door before it closed. I couldn’t imagine, I was stuck inside a room full of treasures. Something went wrong, I was so shocked. Fortunately, I got a phone call from my friend. I told her about all things that had happened. She couldn’t find me and I told her about the book. I was stuck in that silent and dark room for 2 hours with only the light from my phone. Time went by very slowly. Everything was so quiet and I heard some noise again. This time it was the sound of footsteps, and then it stopped again. I moved the light to see where the noise was coming from. I got goosebumps and I was frightened of what I had just seen, it was a creature with red eyes and wrapped with white bandages. OMG!! It was a mummy! After that everything went dark. I started to open my eyes. I saw myself laying on the bed inside my own room. So that means everything was just a nightmare!
